Amber wears a soft webbing choke collar, (but I keep it loose as I don't like choke collars, it's just that leather and ordinary collars rub her fur away). I used to clip the Halti and collar to her lead together so it did not ride up over the eyes, but it gave more control of her head with out hurting her and she could not get it off. It did stop her from pulling, and now we don't need to use the Halti.

Hello - MBJ here....

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for yesterday - I had a lovely time but am now a bit pooped!

I met lots of lovely Briards and their pet humans, and hear you all went swimming after I left - bonkers the lot of you!

My sparkly briard-a-thon bandana is now at the dry cleaners, but thank you very much for voting me smartest briard.... I have let my stylists know and told them to keep up the good work!

Can't believe my Dad came in favour of the Spa Grand Prix - we weren't allowed to listen to the radio or watch the news but unfortunatley when he went to the pub to (in his words) to 'recover' the bar man told asked him what he thought of the result therefore telling him what happened! - tee hee.

Again, thank you very much indeed for having me yesterday and I can't wait to see you all again soon!
I can only echo all the thanks already posted! We really enjoyed our Briard Weekend and the fantastic hospitality of the Wheelers! What a great Saturday night we had... (We did have to drink Angelique's and Johns share of the wine though so hold them fully responsible!)

It was good to see so many turned out despite the weather and it was good to see the old friends we made last year as well as meet new Briard Folk!!

Our two slept all the way home and are still pretty tried despite the fact that they did not do the long walk! I think Millie was all tired out from chasing the ever so fast Ivy! Who in my opinion definitely would have been the winner of the Most Chased as well as the Fastest Briard were there prizes to be won!

It was indeed a pleasure to meet Hilary as well and see some of Claudes photos and we can't wait for the Briard-A-Thon in 2010 in the South of France!! Get you Pet Passports and Tents ready!!!

Briards En Vacance

Thank you all once again for the great day and thank you Emme for organising it again, the prizes you made and to Caroline for the great Goodie Bags and everyone else who I might have forgotten!!

Paul, Caitriona, Olivia, Quinten, Bee and Miss Millie!

Thanks to all that made this years briard a thon at Hampstead Heath such a success. Only Emme could arrange it on a day that has a 70% chance of rain and end up with a 2 minute shower and then blue sky. We had such a nice time. As we have had at all the thons/meets. Gillan is whacked out. But still being spoilt with treats as Nikki is now back home. (photos enclosed). Really nice to meet up with you all again and make new friends. Just managed to catch the wonderful Dexter as he was leaving. What a lovely briard pup he was, and how nice and polite where his family. Also had a great time with the Andringa family on Saturday, made it a really nice weekend.

I love meeting other briards and the rest of their family's. As always there where some stunning dogs at the thon. But the award for the most improved briard ( Sounds condescending, but I do not mean it that way).must go to Tiff. What a fab. relationship you have with your dogs A & J.
