The Calendar Competition for 2011 has now started! Here is some information that you need to know to ensure we produce another great calendar!
1: The competition is open to all registered members of the FBC.
2: Only upload photos that you think really have a chance to win, uploading a large number of photos will not increase your chances of winning!
3. The competition will accept entries till the end of August after which I will close the album and begin the selection process.
4. All images must have a minimum resolution of 1600 x 1200, higher preferred. Please note that I need to receive the original image when your photo has been selected!! Please do not enter photos where you do not have the original digital image.
5. Do not alter your photo, no cropping etc. I need high resolution!
6. Don't reduce your camera setting to get 1600 x 1200, the higher the better, just re-size your photo to 1600 x 1200 to be able to upload.
7. The decision will be made by a panel of 5 or more members, their decision is final!
8. It is a Fun Competition, if you choose to rate a photo please be kind!
9. The rating system is not used for the selection of finalists.
10. Orders will be taken but calendars will not be delivered till November / December. (It will take me some time to produce the calendar!
10. I am busier then ever these days so please remember this is done as a hobby and in my spare time (which there is little off)!
11. Please don't treat me like I am a professional company / shop! I am not! This calendar is produced by 1 individual! Me!! Be kind, I can't always respond straight away!
12. Please make sure if the photo is not yours that you have permission of the copy right holder to use it in the calendar before submitting the photo.
13. Every Briard entered in the Competition will get into the Calendar, if not as a winner then as a thumbnail!
14. Buy as many copies as you can! We need to increase the number of calendars sold as it is very much in decline! In the 6 years I have been doing this we saw an initial increase after the first calendar but since then it has got less and less! Please support us!! We are offering a Free Service! All we ask in return is for you to buy a calendar!
For those of you who have not found the Briard Calendar 2011 Album please click here!
Good luck!! I look forward to another Great FBC Calendar!!

Thanks a million once again P & C for all your hard work on this - it really is a great calendar every year and I know we are all jolly grateful!
Tan - click the orange 'here' on Pauls post, or go to photos scroll down and you'll see the album.

I've just uploaded Hugo's pictures from his holidays on Skye. He's very obliging, bless him, and sits patiently while I fiddle about trying to get a photo. I've got a digital camera at last. One day I'll learn how to use it properly! It was a bit easier not having to rush to the photo shop to get them developed and then having to scan the prints, but all that talk about pixels and resolutions goes straight over my head!
There are some lovely photos already entered, but is it just my imagination or are there less entries than normal? I have to admit I have either had people staying or I have been away since the competition was announced and not had time to visit the site. I hope other people have not forgotten about it over the summer period. All you people who have not entered your piccies need to do so before the competition closes!
By the way, Tan, I don't think you need to be embarassed about not being able to find the calendar. I kept finding that it didn't exist until I realised I hadn't actually logged on! Still a technophobe! |

Hi Linda,
I'd love to enter for this comp, but I haven't taken any Calendar worthy shots at all this year, which is ridiculous really. I've always got a camera with me, but just didn't get "the shot".
I do not envy the Judges however, there are so many wonderful pics to choose from.
Tan xx |

What is the very last date for posting photos, as I thought the competition closed end of August? Only asking as my daughter is away with the camera at the moment and there are some photo's on the card that might be worth uploading. Some great pictures already entered, hard work for the judges |
