On Friday morning I lost my best friend. Suddenly taken ill on Thursday morning two vets fought to save her over the next 24 hours but she was fading fast and not responding. Finally I had to let her go and held her in my arms. She was 11 years 11 months. The best dog I ever had we eventually reached an understanding over who was "boss". Webster (collie cross and her partner in crime) and I feel a great loss, there's a great big empty space in the house now. My grandchildren will miss her too, she was their playmate and she loved them all.
Run free Lola, join your mum Millie, dad Teddie and sister Keisha. I will never forget you and the love and devotion you gave me, you have been a truly faithful friend to the last.

Lynda and Webster (my old soldier), RIP Lola

So sorry to hear of the loss of Lola. Run free in the warm sunshine with your mum & sister.
She may have been related to Ina, as Ina's mum was Millie, (I think from Millies 2nd litter.)
Thinking of you at this very difficult time.

Thank you all for your kind messages they are much appreciated. I know we all say it but they truly are special dogs and she will forever stay in my heart. I have lots of memories, a lock of her tail and she now resides on the hearth beside her bed which is still there because Webster has taken to sleeping in it occasionally.
I wish you all well and please make the most of the time you have with your beloved Briards, they are not here long enough.

Goodnight my special friend, Webs and I will miss you terribly, RIP Lola

We've got our Roxy's collar and that still has her hair on it. I had a drawing done by a local artist, and she drew her collar as well.
We're hoping to have a new girl soon, and chose Lola has her name, it's a lovely name.
