Does anyone know anything about stem cell therapy as a treatment for arthritis in dogs

Sorry, not heard of that. Have you tried Yumove? I used it on my dogs, worked wonders Smile
Good luck with finding an answer.

Actually, I may know someone with a Bearded collie who is going through it. I will read their post on fb to make sure it is the same thing & if it is will try to put you in touch.

I've heard good things about Yumove, which I used on my Rottweiler. She came to us struggling and was soon able to keep up with Zizou.

I had just been reading this post earlier. Then SUPERVET featured an 11 1/2 year old Labrador with arthritis that had stem cell treatment. It was so incredible to watch. I hope you are able to view....if you havenít already.

It was working at the time of the filming. The family were very happy with the results....it was especially interesting because of the age of the dog.
Iím sure youíll be able to find on catch up plus it seems to be repeated several times.

Give me a couple of weeks & I will be able to let you know carol
Spirit has an appointment with our local specialists to have an arthroscopy on her affected joints, followed by Stem Cell treatment.

The results I have seen so far on other dogs have been positive.

It is not a long term solution, but should provide 8 months to a year of pain free movement (dependent on type of exercise provided after treatment).

For Spirit, this is the perfect avenue to explore, she is too old for more invasive / longer term solutions like replacement joints, but to young to be considering the rest of her life on NSAIDS that can damage other organs in the long term.

We will let you know how it goes x
