c ould anyone tell us what type of collar and lead would be best suited to use in the show ring and where would we get them from . also is it okay to trim his fringe or is it not allowed in shows. Question

I'm sure there are loads of answers to this one. Firstly - no way should you trim his fringe! Lead wise, I use a flat link choke chain which doesn't catch on the coat and a very thin leather lead. I got mine from Ann Rees Equestrian on ebay and they were really helpful. I sent it back to be shortened and they would stitch it onto the choke for a really neat finish if you wanted. Some people use a rolled leather half choke which you can buy at most shows. If you find a local ringcraft club they will also advise you. Best thing would be to go along to a show and get shopping! There are lots of shows at Newark showground which isn't far away.
