This past couple of days, Zizou has gone mad nibbling at not just himself, but me and hubby too. Maybe nibble is the wrong word as he tends not to hurt when he does it, but it's really weird. It's like he is trying to groom himself and us. But it is excessive today.

Does it mean anything? is he unhappy? Is he bored? I'd appreciate any comments please. Thanks.

I'm not an expert, but it could be harvest mites. I have been recommended a soluting of 1 drop lavender oil; 1 drop tea tree oil; and 5 drops grapeseed carrier oil. Mix this togetherwith your hands, but don't shake it. Rub into the paws or swab with a cotton bud. If its not harvest mites then it shouldn't do any harm but will make Zizou smell really nice! Good Luck.

Thanks very much for your replies. He's gone and stopped it again, but I fancy making up that lavender mix anyway. It's a good thing to have handy. Very Happy

Henny is a nibbler too. Every evening after having his nightcap biscuits he comes and nibbles my arm, my wife thinks its hilarious. Its just his way of saying thank you by getting rid of my fleas!

Very Happy Frank, there's a thought. Seeing as Zizou was nibbling us as much as himself, perhaps he was trying to tell us something.
