To even start this is so very difficult. We lost our Beloved, Beautiful, Larger than life, Loving boy, Jamas so very suddenly. We were out on our usual morning walk, fetch time in the park, which he loved. After retrieving a ball, Jamais collapsed and died at our feet. We believe it was either a heart attack or some sort of aneurysm.
To say we are devastated, dazed, and broken hearted is an understatement. Our lives and house so empty....far too quiet.
He was definitely our "Star"...we loved him from the moment we saw him at Brenda's and brought him home to share (take over)our lives. Now that light has gone out far too soon.
Definitely "never forgotten" and forever such a big place in our hearts. We miss you too much already.....until we meet again, our darling boy.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Having recently lost my girl, I know how hard it is. You will however one day be able to smile when you think of the good times, without crying too much.
Run free at Rainbow Bridge with the sun on your face & the soft grass beneath your feet. Ina will play with you & keep you company xx

What a terrible shock for you. He will obviously have left a massive hole in your lives and the pain of losing a beloved dog is almost unbearable, but I hope you are comforted by the fact that he lived life to the full right until the end and he didn't have to suffer any debilitating illnesses or a gradual decline into old age. I know you will feel a bit cheated that you didn't have him for at least another year or two, but, for him, what he lost in quantity of years will have been made up for by quality. He was obviously truly loved and well cared for and he was with the people he loved most when he passed over. For him, it's not a bad way to go. It's you who have to cope with your devastating loss. Hope you can take comfort from all those wonderful memories. Like his name, he will remain forever in your hearts. Thinking of you.

I Stood By Your Bed

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep

I whined to you softly As you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, You were thinking of the many times, Your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care. I want to re-assure you, That I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, As you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "It's me"

You looked so very tired, And sank into a chair, I tried so hard to let you know, That I was standing there.

It's possible for me, To be so near you every day. To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, Then smiled, I think you knew In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

An when the time is right for you, To cross the brief divide, I'll rush across to greet you, And we'll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, There is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out

Then come home to be with me.

Thinking of you, they are with us for such a brief time, but 'special' dogs bring such joy it makes the leaving so devastating.

Dear Liz and Ian,
Oh what a shock when I logged on, so sorry to hear about your beautiful boy. A Jamais. He was with you, you were all together. He'll always be at your side looking after you both. Run free, we've lost so many good friends this past year.

Well, we have survived our first Christmas after losing Jamais. We wish to thank everyone for all their kind thoughts & words. Like so many others that have lost their loved ones this year, we have been remembering all the wonderful times we spent together. All of the love & laughter they gave us...not to mention the worries when anything wasn't quite "right".
We will go on and make sure their memories live on as well. They are far too wonderful to ever forget. 💜

Well....a year has gone by since losing JAMAIS. It seems a day hasn't gone by without thinking of/talking about him. So many memories. As most of you know, other Briards (other breeds available!) come into our lives.....all leave those paw prints on our hearts & lives. All so special in their own way....
Can we ever really live without them.....and those memories? Would we even want to....
Missing you too much, big boy......love you always

Yes, it's the price we have to pay for having our lives enriched by them - we miss them for the rest of our own lives. So worth it, though. The memories, after the worst of the pain has passed, continue to enrich our lives forever after. Better to have loved and lost (a briard) than never to have loved (a briard or other breed of dog) at all!

Liz, can't believe it's a year since you lost your beautiful A Jamais, time doesn't heal we just get use to them not being with us anymore. It's 6 years since we lost Amber and a day doesn't go by without us talking about her, they never really leave us do they.

Thinking of you, Carol Brian and Dillon x

My how time flies it certainly doesn't seem like a year since beautiful A'Jamais left us.
So much has happened in that time.
Treasure the memories of your special boy I know I do.
Love to you all

Another year gone by....although it's been TWO years, sometimes it seems so long ago that I saw that beautiful face. I'm so missing my Big Boy....still speak & think of Jamais so much that other times it seems he's only just left.
Too many have lost beloved Briards, with their fabulous personalities that can never be forgotten.... so dearly loved & remembered forever.
