Hello

I'm not sure if any of you remember us, but I rescued a black Briard called Olive (Mandy at the time), from a killing station in Spain. It was summer 2008.

Anyway, the lovely people on here were all very supportive and helpful, and I thought I'd drop you a line after nearly 7 years and say how well she's doing. She's now about 11 and still loves her walks in the woods. She's been a loyal, wonderfully-behaved friend from the very first day, and still draws looks of amazement when we walk around town together. She's rarely on a lead and just walks next to me - she even responds correctly to 'halfway' when crossing roads Smile

I'm not sure how to post photos, but if this works, it shows my lovely Olive on a recent trip to London. She's just been clipped to treat a skin infection (after 7 years, I'm still pulling bits of concrete out of her).

Thank you to everyone who helped me get her out of Spain - you were all amazing, reaching out to a skinny little girl in need.

Cx

What a lovely story. So glad you and Olive were able to enrich each other's lives. She sounds like a lovely girl. She's reached a good age, too, despite what she went through. Hope you have many more happy years together.
