HELP: Briard with very enlarged spleen, swollen lymph glands
HELP: Briard with very enlarged spleen, swollen lymph glands HELP: Briard with very enlarged spleen, swollen lymph glands
Post on behalf of Maureen:

Hi All

Mollie the briard is currently being treated by a specialist vet having been referred by my veterinary practice. She has a very enlarged spleen, swollen lymph glands and whilst at the vet blood vessels behind her eyes burst turning the whites of her eyes red (uveitis).

She has had extensive tests that have as good as ruled out leukaemia and lymphoma. (Apparently1% are tricky to diagnose) and there are pieces of her being sent around the world in an attempt to diagnose her illness with a week to 10 day wait for the results. Other than this she is bright in herself and she's a bit off her food but not mine!

This is a plea from the heart in the outside chance that someone out there might have experienced similar syptoms in a dog they have owned, known or bred, (although I seriously hope not) and can offer me some advice.

Heres hoping

Maureen

Niles (Irish terrier) joined him last week.
I hope there are plenty of pheasants to chase where they've gone.
